Proposal Writer to Construction Audience 

 Job Summary:

The Proposal Writer for the Doyon Construction Division will prepare proposals for all types of construction projects (including Design/Build), which will be submitted to governmental agencies nationwide.    Please go to www.doyongovgrp.com to apply for this job.

 

Duties:

The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

•Research proposal requirements and submittal deadlines and plan work time accordingly.

•Prepare compliance matrices and distribute to team members as needed.

•Work with Doyon Business Development personnel, SMEs, and other key personnel to determine proposal theme, strategies and objectives, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.

•Coordinate and conduct project ‘Kick-off’ meetings to establish the schedule, scope of work, and proposal preparation assignments.

•Conduct follow-up meetings, correspond via email and/or telephone to guarantee team compliance with proposal requirements.

•Interview subject matter experts to gather necessary narrative for proposals.

•Write and edit proposals as directed by the project management team.

•Apprise project management team of proposal status.

•Coordinate preparation, assembly, and timely delivery of proposal documents.

•Track proposals after submittal and provide additional information as required.

•Gather and maintain current project data and photographs for project sheets.

•Prepare detailed project sheets.

•Prepare detailed staff resumes.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent skills in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook as well as Adobe Acrobat.

Supervisory Responsibilities:   This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
